COMRC April Theme Night – Railroads Before Income Taxes

The theme night for Tuesday, April 2nd is railroads that existed before income taxes. The federal income tax act was enacted with the 16th amendment in 1913. So, all trains must consist of cars, engines, cabooses that existed in 1913 or before. That means NO CSX, No CONRAIL, No Amtrak, No BNSF.

So do a little searching of the history of your favorite railroad, and see what name they may have gone by in 1913.
